Day one. I suppose

Ok, so this is going to be my online journal of my year of reading the Bible.  Yes, I know it's already January 9th.  Don't start!  However, if I don't keep up with it, I expect to be chastised!  I will come back later to do the first official post.  I thought I would say a few words, though, and start by saying that I've decided to do a chronological reading of the Bible.  I've always wanted to read it with the historical context, so I thought this would be a good idea for my first official "year of the Bible."   That sounds contrite.  It wasn't meant to be.  I've just never read through the entire Bible before.  Join me!!
